Landing Page Policies

When launching a campaign on the PubPower network, it’s crucial to understand the following guidelines for your landing pages. Landing pages refer to the destination where users are redirected after clicking on your campaign item. It is the page that displays your content as well as third-party content, like ads.

All landing pages must adhere to the following policies:

Restricted Categories

Prohibited Categories

Clear Disclosure Required

The terms “Advertisement” or “Advertorial” must be displayed at the top of relevant pages in a clear and prominent manner. The disclosure should be placed, colored, and sized in a way that can be easily read by the audience.

Affiliate marketing websites must also disclose any financial relationship with sponsoring advertisers, in compliance with applicable guidelines.

No Excessive Overlays or Pop-Ups

Any popup advertisements or overlays that appear in connection with the landing page must be able to close easily.

No Misleading Advertising Techniques

  • Fictitious testimonials
  • Fictitious comments
  • Statements that are overly optimistic or claims that are not backed up by evidence
  • Bogus social media icons
  • Misleading navigation or content that gives the impression of being part of a larger editorial website
  • Fake logos of earned media
  • Automatic date stamps that update to the current date
  • Misleading endorsements from celebrities or third parties
  • False rumors about any individual or celebrity
  • Fearmongering to encourage users to take a specific action
  • Timers that give the impression of an offer expiring (when it actually does not)

Landing pages are required to have

  • Privacy Policy link
  • Contact Us link/section
  • Every landing page should include a “Contact Us” section that provides an actual email address, phone number, or physical address. Merely providing a form to email the site owners is insufficient.
  • Financial landing pages must display an actual physical address.
  • Landing pages promoted in the D/A/CH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) must comply with German Telemediengesetz (TMD) regulations and include an Impressum (imprint). Additionally, landing pages promoted in France must adhere to the ARPP Codes.
  • Advertorials related to health and finance may require a footer disclaimer.

Authenticity

  • Content must not be plagiarized or infringed on any copyrights. All content must have clear authorship disclosure.
  • Content must not use trademarks or logos that are confusingly similar to those of third parties.
  • All links in content must be accurately labeled and must lead to the page or pages that the reader expects.
  • Content must be current and provide up-to-date information.
